Mission Statement

The purpose of the Association is to preserve and protect Tyler Lake and its surroundings, to enhance the water quality, fishery, boating safety, and aesthetic values of Tyler Lake, as a public recreational facility for today and for future generations while respecting the interests of property owners and the public and to provide the opportunity for fellowship among Association members.
Said organization is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future tax code.

History of the Association

The Tyler Lake Property Owners Association was first created in 1968.  Initial membership of the association consisted of members in good standing of the Breguet Shores Lake Association, Marshapaug Taxpayers Association and Tyler Lake Heights Association.
In 2016, the Tyler Lake Protective Association was incorporated as a 501(c)3 entity, replacing the previous association. 
The Association meets one time per year, usually in July.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of the TLPA Officers as well as the President and Vice President of the Breguet Shores, Tyler Lake Heights and Marshapaug Associations.
